This Week in Kindergarten!

We started off the week wearing "Rouge" for Spirit Week!  These students are hard at work making something special for their daddies.

Tuesday, was Beach Day.  The boys and girls wore sun hats and sunglasses.

We played a game with a beach ball.  Together we spelled the word "ballon" on the whiteboard.  We named the letters as we passed around the beach ball.  The student holding the ball when we got to "n" had to sit on the carpet.  We kept going around the circle until only one person was left standing.

                                             The boys and girls loved Crazy Hair Day!

                                        Their hair styles were super creative and lots of fun!

                             The children are enjoying the stories from "Paul et Suzanne - La ferme"

          On Friday, we worked in our Portfolios.  The children will bring their portfolios home at the                end of the school year.

                  On Friday afternoon, we explored our community on Google Earth  The children were practicing to name their addresses so we could find their homes.  We will do these activity with the morning class next week.  This is a photo of École Assiniboine.  Only 3 more weeks of kindergarten!!!

This Week in Kindergarten!

On Monday, we found objects in the class and placed them on the letter of the alphabet that corresponded to the first letter that the object started with.

B-bille, C-crayon, D-dinosaure, K-K'Nex, etc.

Another page in our spring booklet.

We have to started to learn the names of the farm animals in French.

Using our French words to try and find the cow (la vache).

Alphabet bingo with upper-case (les lettres majuscules) and lower-case (les lettres minuscules) letters.

Creating with popsicle sticks.

Exploring the new farm toys.

The K'Nex continues to be a class favourite.

Talking about people who help us in our community.

The children drew a picture of someone who can help us in St.James.

We watched a few farm videos.

Getting ready to sing and dance (Le fermier dans le pré) to the Farmer in the Dell.

Adding two groups of dots to see how many there are in all.

The afternoon class ended off the week dancing to their favourite song "J'aime les fruits"!
