This Week in Kindergarten!

This was a short but extremely busy week in kindergarten!
We started the week by practicing to print the letter W.
We played a math game as a group.  The children had to roll a die and remove the correct domino from the flower.  The first team to remove all of their dominoes was the winner.
These girls enjoyed the game so much that they played it together during play time.
Drawing a picture of our bedrooms.
Sorting cards according to if they rhyme or do not rhyme.
Math activities.
Friday was a very special day!  It was our Treaty Day.  The children got to decorate a special rock.
We also drew on the pavement with sidewalk chalk while waiting for our friends to finish painting their rocks.
Playing games in the gym.
Eating our snacks outside.
It was a beautiful day for a picnic.
The children got to sit in a real teepee.
We heard many more stories relating to the 7 teachings.
Mr. Bill sang us a special song about the turtle.
He had many artifacts to show us as well.
The eagle wing.
Entering the teepee.
The boys and girls were very good listeners.
A view from inside the teepee.
Signing the treaty.
The entire school signed the treaty.  The school mission was glued in the middle of the paper.
We promised to be respectful, responsible and life long learners in French and in English.
The afternoon class signing the treaty.
Listening to stories in the kitchen tents.
The boys and girls worked in their Treaty books.
The afternoon class enjoying snack time.
The afternoon was a bit cooler.
Mme Richelle was back at our school to teach us a song.  We also did some drumming.
We all played a song together.  At the end of the day, the entire school made a big circle and sang the song that we had practiced in smaller groups.  What a beautiful moment!!!

We put up the treaty in the hallway by the office.  What an amazing day!!!
