Lucie Lutin!

Bonjour les amis!  Look who Mme Godin found sitting in her tree when she went to put the Christmas lights on early this morning.  It's Lucie Lutin!  She wanted to let you know that there is only 1 more sleep until Christmas!  As soon as I took her photo she disappeared.

I hope that you and your families all have a MAGICAL HOLIDAY SEASON!!!

This Week in Kindergarten!

Exploring Discovery Bins on Monday morning.  The children had to turn over a small card.  If they had the same picture they could place it on their card, if not they returned it to the pile.  The first child to fill up his/her card was the winner.  We practiced taking turns and repeating the holiday themed vocabulary.

Holiday puzzles.

Playing a Math game.  Monday was also jersey/hat day at École Assiniboine.

A race to the finish.  Who will win the snowman or the gingerbread man?

We listened to a snowman song on this first day of winter.

The afternoon class hard at work, making their name snowmen.

The top snowball was for the head.  The other snowballs were for each letter in our names.

The children drew a hat and arms with black markers.

The final step was to add snowflakes using Q-tips and white paint.

We made Magic Reindeer food. The boys and girls all helped to mix this special reindeer food.

We mixed oatmeal, cinnamon and sparkles.  The children brought the magical food home to sprinkle on the snow on Christmas Eve.
