Lucie Lutin!

Bonjour les amis!  Look who Mme Godin found sitting in her Christmas tree when I went to put the Christmas lights on early this morning.  It's Lucie Lutin.  She wanted to let you know that there are only 2 more sleeps until Christmas!

I HOPE THAT YOU AND  YOUR FAMILIES ALL HAVE A MAGICAL CHRISTMAS SEASON!!!

Lucie Lutin!

The boys and girls were very disappointed when Lucie was no where to be found in our classroom on our last day of school before winter break.  That is until someone had to use the bathroom and discovered her hiding in one of the cabinets with a small gift for the students.  There are only 5 more sleeps until Christmas!

This Week in Kindergarten!

On Monday, the boys and girls wore something white to school.

They made these very special name snowmen.

We did some problem solving activities on the SMARTboard.  If there are 4 reindeer how many noses are there in all?  How many antlers are there in all?  How many legs are there in all?, etc.

On Tuesday, we wore green and decorated popsicle stick Christmas trees.  Le groupe 1.

Le groupe 4.

Le groupe 2.

Le groupe 3.

The afternoon class hard at work.  Le groupe 3.

The boys and girls have brought all of their crafts home for the holidays.

More SMARTboard games.

Trying to print numbers on the SMARTboard is very, very tricky.

We also managed to get in some important play time during this last week of school before winter break.

The children are so creative!

The afternoon class' snowmen.

Thursday was Reindeer day.  We made sparkly reindeer antlers and Magic Reindeer Food.

Smelling one of the special ingredients...cinnamon (la canelle).

A bit of quiet centre time.

Snowball toss.

Who will be the first to fill up their Christmas tree?

Stamps and ink pad to print JOYEUX NOËL!

Bean bag toss.

Christmas bingo.

Christmas puzzles.

Behind which ten frame Christmas tree is the ornament hidden?

The afternoon class playing bean bag toss.

We played a variation of this Math game by trying to be the first to remove all of the decorations from the Christmas tree.

Printing Christmas messages.

Christmas Tic-tac-toe!

We had a super busy and extremely fun last week of school before Winter Break.  I would like to wish all of my kindergarten students and their families a Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year!!!

JOYEUX NOËL ET BONNE ANNÉE!!!

We were quite surprised to find Lucie Lutin's message to us up on the SMARTboard.  Our sneaky little elf was sitting way up high on the projector.  She was very happy that today was Thursday.  We wonder what she will be up to tomorrow?  There are only 6 more sleeps until Christmas!
