This Week in KIndergarten!

Our last week of kindergarten was very busy!!!
We finished our printing booklets.
We also drew pictures of farm animals.
We played number bingo.
We also played a shape and colour bingo.
The farmer sees 6 legs. The farmer sees 8 legs, etc.  The boys and girls had to use their problem solving skills for this math activity.
We went to visit the grade one teachers and their classrooms.  We asked many questions and toured the rooms. This is Mme Hernandez from Room 5.
Mme Pelletier is from room 4.
And Mme Hoch teaches grade 1/2 in room 6.
We enjoyed the last four days of playing with our friends in kindergarten.
We will be divided among 3 different classrooms next year.  That means we will be making many new friends.
We will also get to see all of our friends from this year during our 3 recesses.
We have learned so much this year!

It was a fun way to end a fun year in kindergarten!
Once again, thank you for all of your help and support this year!!!  I am sure that you are all very proud of your children!  HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!!

Tuesday, June 27th:  Music for the afternoon class.

Wednesday, June 28th:  Phys. Ed. for the morning class.

Thursday, June 29th:  Phys. Ed. for the afternoon class
Today is the last day of kindergarten!  Report cards will be issued today. Please check the supply list in your child's report card envelope.  The name of your child's grade 1 teacher as well as the class number will be listed at the top of the paper.

This Week in Kindergarten!

This was our last full week of kindergarten!  There are only 4 days of school next week!
Finishing up some work in our Social Studies booklets.
We did lots of practicing for our concert, followed by lots of play at the beginning of the week.
Playing insect jenga.
Connect 4.
Playing a variety of games with dominoes.
Counting and sorting math manipulatives.
Counting and making patterns with small animals.
More marble mazes.
We had our kindergarten Celebration of Learning on Wednesday.
Thank you to all of the families who were able to attend! I am sure that you will agree with me that the children did a GREAT JOB!!!

Celebration of Learning in the Kindergarten room at 10:15 a.m. for the morning class and at 2:00 p.m. for the afternoon class.

Friday, June 23rd:  Phys. Ed. for the morning class.

Mme Godin will be away on Thursday and Friday of this week.  Mme Pegler will be the substitute teacher!!!

This Week in Kindergarten!

We were so busy with last minute assessments, portfolios and Father's Day that Mme Godin did not take many photos this week.
On Wednesday, we had a special visitor from the St. James public library.
Her name is Lori Sweeting.
She came to tell us all about the Summer Reading Program at all Winnipeg libraries.  Information regarding these special activities was sent home with your child yesterday.
She even had a few minutes to read us a story.
A tracing and cutting sample for our portfolios.
The children had to trace around their hands and cut very carefully along the lines.

Placing the beach balls in order from smallest to biggest and then from the biggest to the smallest.
We also enjoyed playing with our friends.  The countdown is on!  We are almost ready for grade 1!!!
