This Week in Kindergarten!

The boys and girls printed beautiful M's in their printing booklets, after having practiced them at home over the weekend.  BRAVO, LES AMIS!!!

Playing Roll a Pizza.  The first player to put all 6 toppings on their pizza is the winner.  Of course, the children are practicing the new words in French as they are playing.

Putting together alphabet puzzles from A to Z.

Creating and copying designs with coloured popsicle sticks.

Playing a winter themed memory game.

The children also completed the colour "rose" in their colour booklets.

Playing in our new pizza restaurant!

A tumbling pizza game.

Circling the "motif" (core or repeating part) of the pattern.

These little girls made a house with a number 5 on the roof out of Lego.

These boys were cooperating and listening to each other's ideas at this construction center.

Creating mazes for the marbles.

This week the children were making crowns at the art table.

Practicing to identify the numbers from 6 to 10 in French on the SMARTboard.

This Week in Kindergarten!

First day back at school, after Winter Break, the boys and girls were hard at work printing the letter N.

Discovery Bins this week, included, lacing cards.

Number printing on erasable sheets.

Playing a penguin counting game.

Counting and making patterns with cubes.

On Tuesday, we printed the number 5.

We also reviewed number recognition with this large group game.

Playing an alphabet game.

The children made white clouds "un nuage blanc" in their colour booklets, using cotton balls.

It was so much fun to be back in the classroom with all of our friends!

Time to clean up!

On Wednesday, we welcomed the boys and girls from Monsieur Charrette's class to our classroom.

The children had a great time meeting new friends.

We put all of their belongings together for the end of the morning.

Our friends from the other kindergarten room enjoyed exploring the toys and games in room 12.

It was a very busy morning.

We have been practicing new French words in class this week.  We will be opening a Pizza restaurant in the classroom on Monday.

Some of the students made signs for our Pizza restaurant.

Our restaurant is called  "J"aime la pizza" (I Love Pizza).

On Friday, some of the girls decided they would be "Canadian Girls" (les filles du Canada)!

Lots of parking for this special apartment complex!

I would like to wish all of my kindergarten students and their families a HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I am looking forward to seeing all of the boys and girls on Monday, ready to continue discovering,  creating, playing and learning new things in 2017!
