Welcome to École Assiniboine. These are the doors we will be using to enter and exit the school. Remember to wait outdoors until a staff member from our cohort comes to open the doors. The morning class will begin to enter from 8:15 a.m. until 8:25 a.m. and the afternoon class at 12:25 p.m. I will walk the children who are meeting their parents to go home at the end of the morning 11:25 a.m. and at the end of the afternoon 3:15 p.m. at these same doors.
This is the structure where we will sometimes get to play at recess time.
All kindergarten students belong to the yellow cohort. Monsieur Wichenko will be greeting the children at the door each day.
The children will be taught to social distance and to sanitize their hands each time they enter the school. I believe that a staff member will be using a spray bottle when the kindergarten students enter the school.

Welcome to our friends from the morning kindergarten class.
We will be lining up our shoes on the floor by the classroom door.
When you enter the room you will see many tables. Mme Godin will help you find the table that has your name on a special bin. This is where you will sit. You will put your backpack and your jacket on the back of your chair. Your name will also be on your table. At the end of the day you will put your indoor shoes on your chair.
In your bin you will have a pencil box to store pencils, an eraser, glue stick and scissors. I will add your markers to this box.
You will also have this special tray to use when we are making crafts, creating with play dough and playing math games. In the little container there are die and bingo chips, 5 cubes (for now), a container of crayons and a tennis ball that we will use on the SMARTboard. I will be adding other things soon.

There is a bathroom in our classroom.
We will practice how to flush the toilet and wash our hands.
In order to flush the toilet, you just push on the silver circle. Mme Godin will show you on Tuesday.
This is where we will be washing our hands. The paper towels are hanging on the wall behind me.
The water filling station. The children will only be able to fill their water bottles. They may not drink from the water fountain as it is covered up for safety reasons.

There will be a row of x’s at the front of the classroom in front of the SMARTboard. Sometimes you will get to sit or stand on an x instead of at your table.
This is our classroom tree. We will be learning all about trees this year and exploring the seasonal changes that occur to trees. There are so many other things for you to discover in our beautiful kindergarten classroom.
