This Week in Kindergarten!

We started off the week trying to match the jack'o'lanterns (les feux follets).  We had to look carefully at the eyes (les yeux), the noses (les nez) and the mouths (les bouches).

Practicing our cutting skills.  The children had to cut the jack'o'lanterns and glue them in order from the smallest (petit) to the biggest (grand).

Playing some Halloween math games on the SMARTboard.

Identifying numbers on dice, 10 frames and fingers.

A game to help us name all of the colours in French.

The boys and girls had to count sets of objects and put an X on the set that had more than (plus que).

Setting up the Halloween centres on Thursday morning.

A bean bag toss.

Tic Tac Toe!

A build a monster game.

A math game with spider rings.

Another tic-tac-toe.

And yet another one.

And lastly Halloween Bingo.

The children were very eager to start playing games after recess.

Having so much fun playing with friends.

Almost got the bean bag in the ghost's mouth.

Throwing rats in the numbered jack'o'lantern bins.

Throwing hoops on the witch hats.

The player with the most spider rings wins the game.

And the afternoon class playing Halloween games.

Lots of fun was had by all!!!

The morning class walked from class to class to show their costumes to the other students and the afternoon class had a costume parade in the gym.  We all had a great time!

Please remember to check all labels when sending treats for snacks!!!  It is okay to send a small Halloween treat with your child's regular healthy snack, just no suckers or hard candies.
