On Monday, the boys and girls sponge painted half of a paper plate with fall colored paints: orange, rouge, jaune et brun. We let them dry for a special project that we completed on Friday.
This week we started Discovery bins. Each table has different materials to explore while we are waiting for the morning or afternoon to begin.
These boys and girls are adding popsicle stick feathers to their turkeys.Counting beads.
The children had to add the correct amount of beads to the little turkeys.
Decorating turkey feathers with buttons.
This is a great activity to strengthen the muscles in our fingers and to help us become good printers.
The boys and girls also had puzzles to put together.
They had to put them in sequential order. What happened first, next and last.
Rolling a die and gluing the correct amount of feathers on the turkey.
Playing a turkey game on the SMARTboard.
We also played colour bingo.
Practicing to name the colours in French. The child who picked the turkey had to name the colour.
But if we picked OH! OH! we had to put all of the turkeys on the carpet and start over again.
Playing with tree stumps and pieces.
A fun game of Perfection.
Building a ramp and seeing which vehicle went the furthest.
Building with straws and connectors.
Making lego ducks.
A thanksgiving feast.
More building.
I think there are many future architects in kindergarten this year.
Making turkey crowns with the paper plates that we painted on Monday.
Everyone was concentrating so hard.
The children also glued the correct feather on top of the correct number.

And as promised our beautiful Thanksgiving turkey (le dindon d'action de grâces)! So many parents and older students stopped by the class to tell us how beautiful our turkey is. I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving weekend!
