Drawing a voyageur. |
The morning class' voyageur. |
The afternoon class' voyageur. |
We played with our grade five buddies on day 6. |
Some Voyageur counting activities. |
At the end of each day we watch Super-Mini and his colour mixing adventures. |
We also played a fun Voyageur board game.
Les pique-piques (pokey pins) du Voyageur. The boys and girls used a thumb tack to pierce little holes on each dot. This activity helps to strengthen the muscles in our fingers. The classroom was so quiet as the children focused on this fun task.
Once they were finished with the thumb tack, the children coloured the voyageur. |
The first Voyageur activity was the music centre. We listened to a book, sang songs and played instruments. |
The morning class also played Voyageur bingo. |
Voyageur games in the gym. The students had to hop in the hoops without letting their pancake fall to the ground. If it did they had to start all over again before continuing on. |
Canoe rides. |
Tug of war to see who was the strongest Voyageur. |
Swinging over the river. |
The afternoon class' turn. |
Trying to capture the red flag. |
The afternoon class also made sash bracelets (les ceintures flechees). |
The boys and girls did a great job at this station. |
They were all so proud and excited to take their bracelets home. |
And we also visited Monsieur Lacroix's Voyageur museum. |
Trying on these super big Voyageur pants. |
Les mocassins. |
Les mitaines. |
La veste. |
Le chapeau de castor. |
Les raquettes. |
Monsieur Lacroix had so many amazing things to share with us. |
We ended off the day singing songs and playing the spoons. The students all agreed that it was the best day ever!!! |
