This Week in Kindergarten!

This week the children used linking hearts to make patterns and chains to match the numbers on the heart cards.

Placing the hearts in the correct mail boxes.  (2 et 2 sont pareils que 4)  2 and 2 is the same as 4, etc.

Strengthening our fine motor skills by poking a push pin through the dotted hearts.

Rolling a die and putting the correct amount of hearts onto the plate.  The first player to empty their cup was the winner.

The afternoon class sorting hearts.

Hard at work!

The boys and girls are very good at counting sets of objects in French, recognizing dot patterns and waiting their turns.

The children were creating very interesting patterns.

Completing the colour "rose" in our colour booklets.

La fleur est rose.

The morning hard at work designing Valentine envelopes.  We will be decorating them on Monday.

The afternoon class hard at work designing Valentine envelopes.  They had to test their envelopes to make sure that we could put at least 19 Valentine cards inside.

The children had to listen very carefully to find the correct bubble to pop.

Different ways of making the number 6.

Practicing to print the number 6 in our number booklets.

Reviewing positional vocabulary such as "sous" (under), "à côté de" (beside), etc.

Finding the missing part of the heart patterns.
