This week was extremely short and filled with fun Voyageur activities. The children have been listening to Voyageur stories about Paul, Suzanne and their family.
Playing a Voyageur tic-tac-toc.
Practicing to name the letters of the alphabet very quickly and in French. Whenever there is a tuque with Hé-Ho!, the children raise their arms up in the air and yell Hé-Ho!
On Wednesday's Voyageur day, the children sang Voyageur songs and played the drums and spoons.
Waiting patiently to play the spoons "les cuillères".
Monsieur Lacroix (who retired from teaching last summer) came to visit us in the music room.
A game of Voyageur bingo.
Voyageur games in the gym.
Tug of war.
Canoe races.
"Le portage" - the voyageur carrying their supplies across the river. The boys and girls had to walk slowly so as not to fall in the river.
Who is the strongest Voyageur?
Making Voyageur necklaces.
Mme Laura showed us her special mukluks.
We used beads to create flowers and animals on paper.
The boys and girls also made Voyageur bracelets.
