This Week in Kindergarten!

Our Remembrance Day song: "Beau coquelicot".
We remember the soldiers on Remembrance and we are thankful for peace.

The boys and girls made poppies.  They painted paper plates red and ripped black construction paper to make the center of  "le coquelicot".

The children could also create poppies with red and black buttons.

The morning class' poppies.

The afternoon class' poppies.

Placing wooden cubes on top of the matching ones on the activity cards.

Making numbers using tangrams.

Wooden alphabet puzzles.

Practicing to print the letter T.

Circling both the upper-case and lower-case Tt's.

What a beautiful poppy.

A paper birthday cake.

More poppies.

Printing the number 1 in our number booklets.

The boys and girls traced the number one, printed the number one, coloured the number one, added one circle in the ten frame and added one apple on the tree.

We had a little service this morning in our classroom.  We listened to the Last Post, had a minute of silence and sang our song: "Beau coquelicot".  The afternoon students as well as the morning students who attend our daycare attended the Remembrance Day service in the gym.
