This Week in Kindergarten!

We are very busy further developing our kindergarten literacy skills.  This little girl is circling a capital letter (une lettre majuscule) in the illustrated sentence.

Circling a lower-case letter (une lettre minuscule).

Circling a word.  We are also working at identifying the first and the last letters in words (la première lettre et la dernière lettre dans un mot).

Playing a springtime memory game.

Hard at work in our spring booklet.

Practicing to print the letter V.

Printing the initial consonant sounds.  These are the sounds that we hear at the beginning of a word.  We did a great job!  Mme Godin taught us that chenille (caterpillar) is a bit trickier.  It starts with 2 letters that we put together to make the sound "ch" in French.

Spring Vocabulary - Part 2!

Please take some time over the next few weeks to practice these new spring words.

We continued to watch clips from "Les aventures d'Écolo-fille".  On Wednesday's episode, the children had to decide if the egg shell belonged in the recycling (le recyclage).

Or the garbage (la poubelle)?

Everyone agreed that the egg shell did indeed belong in the compost (le compost).

We even read a story about la poubelle (garbage can) in our series of Paul and Suzanne books.
