This Week in Kindergarten!

This was a short week at school.  The boys and girls are listening to instructions in French and placing the snowflake in the correct spot.  We are learning about positional language such as on (sur), under (sous), behind (derrière), etc.

Extending winter patterns.

Completing the colour "noir" in our colour booklets.  The children made black spiders (l'araignée noire).

Placing the snow people in order from the smallest to the biggest.

Practicing to print the letter N.

Practicing our letter sounds.

This is Mademoiselle Poubelle.  She loves letters!  Today she wanted to eat objects that started with the letter B.  The boys and girls were very excited to feed her!

The students had to cut some winter images and match them to the correct letter (Mm - mitaines, Bb - bottes, etc.).  The afternoon class had The Integrated Arts this afternoon so they will complete this activity next week.

All students will get to dance with Monsieur Ty three times as part of the Integrated Arts program.

We are learning dances from the 1930"s.  The boys and girls are practicing the steps to dance the conga.

Once we mastered the steps we made a conga line.

The children were also introduced to some samba dancing.  It was a very short but fun and busy week!!!
