This Week in Kindergarten!

This week we completed our colour booklets.  We will continue to read recite our poems and use this familiar script as part of our literacy activities in the classroom.

L'éléphant est gris.

We continued to explore colour mixing and talked about different types of paper, such as absorbent paper.

The boys and girls enjoyed watching and waiting for the coloured water to mix into the empty middle cups.
We practiced printing the letter O.
The children also played a few St.Patrick's Day games on the SMARTboard.

Printing the number 9 and adding nine gum balls to the gum machine.

Trying to find the leprechaun "le farfadet" who was hiding behind one of the numbers from 11 (onze) to 20 (vingt).

Practicing to show our parents how to program Bee-Bot during our "Celebration of Learning" on Thursday evening and Friday morning.
Finding different ways to play with these alphabet bean bags.

Playing 1, 2, 3 CRAQUE with friends.

Creating at the Lego table.  The boys and girls are very responsible, carefully counting all of the little Lego people at the end of Play Time to ensure that we do not lose any.

A big thank you to all of the kindergarten parents for coming to celebrate with your child.  The children were so excited to demonstrate all of the learning that takes place in our play based learning environment.  They all did an amazing job sharing their portfolios and rotating through the centres set up in the classroom.  BRAVO LES AMIS!!!
