This Week in Kindergarten!

We survived our very first full week of kindergarten!  What a fun and busy week it was!
The boys and girls are practicing to print their names.
They also added eyes, ears, noses, mouths and hair to these faces.
Sharing materials to decorate the first letter in our names.
Going over the letters in our names with Q tips and red paint (rouge).
We played a game to practice saying "le cercle" (circle).  The boys and girls danced to music.  When the music stopped, they had to freeze and repeat together "le cercle".
We went on a hunt for objects in the classroom that are "rouge" and then we sorted them.
Sorting circles from other shapes on the SMARTboard.
We also had a practice fire drill so that we are better prepared for when we have one with the entire school.
Practicing to line up to drink water after gym.
And of course, we did lots of playing!

Building marble mazes.
Playing with all of the trucks and cars.
The Play-doh centre.
Building with the large blocks.
Playing with the trains.
Cooperating at the large Lego centre.
More construction with Lego.
The afternoon class, creating with Play-doh.
Playing at the dollhouse.
Digging in the sand.
More construction going on.
This little boy wanted to show me how he punched 911 on the cash register!
