This Week in Kindergarten!

Discovery Bins look different as the week progresses.  The children explore the materials in different ways each day.
On Monday, the boys and girls were counting the dots on the dominos and placing them above the correct number.
By Friday, some of the students were making doorways and lining up the dominos to make them fall.
On Monday morning, the children began to explore the foam cubes.
By Friday, this little girl wanted me to see her special pattern.
This little boy built a robot flat on the table.  His next step was to rebuild the robot standing up on the table.
Starting the week, exploring playdough.
These students were getting ready for spring, building nests and tiny bird eggs.
Numbered rocks, wood chips and small branches on Monday.
On Friday, we had Voyageur forts.
Practicing the Voyageur vocabulary.
Drawing Voyageur.
The children did a great job drawing Voyageur.
They remembered to add beards, checkered shirts, red toques and sashes.
They also copied the words "Hé-Ho!" on the bottom of the paper.
Matching the initial consonant sound to pictures...Bb - bison,  Cc - canot, etc.
We also completed the colour brown in our colour booklets.
The boys and girls enjoy being the teacher at Calendar Time.
There are so many numeracy and literacy skills practiced at this time of the day.
