This Week in Kindergarten!

Christmas puzzles are lots of fun!

Playing a Christmas snakes and ladders game.

Creating Christmas designs with red and green popsicle sticks.

Decorating Christmas trees.

Playing math games with Mme Rosa.

Putting all of the letters from A to Z in order.

Putting together floor sized Christmas puzzles.

We finished "le bonhomme de neige" puzzle.

Building structures and mazes.

Practicing our new Christmas vocabulary.

Making candy cane (les cannes de bonbons) patterns.

Playing card games with Mme Page.

Playing a Christmas memory game on the carpet.

We finished off the week making a Santa (le père Noël) paper puzzle.

Lucie Lutin!

We sure do have a tricky little elf in our classroom.  Today, Lucie Lutin was sitting on top of the SMARTboard projector.  She even used Mme Godin's computer last night to send us her message today.  Lucie said she loved listening to our Winter Concert yesterday.  We wondered if she was hiding in the gym and watching us?  There are only 10 more sleeps until Christmas!!!

December 19th - December 22nd!

Monday, December 19th:  Wear something red (shirt, Santa toque, etc.) to school today.  We will be making a red Santa craft.
Tuesday, December 20th:  Wear something green to school today.  We will be making a green Christmas tree craft.
Wednesday, December 21st:  Wear something white to school today.  We will be making a snowman craft.
Thursday, December 22nd:  Wear something brown to school today.  We will be making reindeer crowns, magic reindeer food and playing special reindeer games.

I will also be face painting the tip of the boys and girls noses either red for Rudolph or black for any of the other reindeer.  Please send me an email if you prefer that your child not have the tip of his/her nose painted due to allergies, sensitive skin, etc.


There will be no SHOW AND TELL the week of January 9th to the 13th as I will be changing the children's groups in the new year.  I will send a revised Show and Tell schedule when we return to school in January.

Lucie Lutin!

The boys and girls found Lucie Lutin in our classroom tree.  She was holding little bells (les clochettes) and a snowflake (le flocon de neige) in her hands.  She wished us good luck at our Winter concert this afternoon and tonight.  There are only 11 more sleeps until Christmas!!!

Wow!  Lucie Lutin made herself a very cute chair out of Lego.  There are only 12 more sleeps until Christmas!!!

Lucie Lutin was standing way up high, above our classroom door.  Some of the boys and girls could see her in the hallway.  Lucie told us that it is very cold outside today!  There are 13 more sleeps until Christmas!!!

Lucie Lutin was playing with her snowmen friends on Friday.   She loves snowmen.  She asked us what kind of noses these little snowmen had.  "Les carottes", the boys and girls answered.  We made beautiful snowmen crafts to decorate the hallways for our Winter concert.  There are only 16 sleeps until Christmas!!!
