This Week in Kindergarten!

The boys and girls completed the last page in their colour booklets.  "L'éléphant est gris."
They also illustrated a mode of transportation and copied the word below on the line.
The children did a great job!
Exploring at the water table.
The boys and girls have been busy extending their learning with all of our transportation toys during play time.
Creating modes of transportation at the lego table.
The students were enjoying a picnic lunch in the house area.
More transportation fun!
Making crowns at the art table.
On Thursday, these little girls all counted to ten in different languages...Spanish, Chinese and Thai. Bravo les filles!!!
This little boy was waiting for his turn at the water table.  He was very interested in learning about minutes and hours.
Sorting and graphing to see if there were more objects that were green or not green.
Placing the shamrocks (les trèfles) in order from the smallest to the biggest and then from the biggest to the smallest.
A transportation dot to dot.
The following photos are of the centers the children participated at during our second term Celebration of Learning.  The boys and girls named the objects and the colours and sorted according to primary (primaire) and secondary (secondaire) colours.
They also fed Mademoiselle Poubelle objects that started with the letter G.  They placed the remaining items on the appropriate letter cards.
Teaching our parents the sounds that letters make.
We also explained to our families how we can make new secondary colours by mixing two primary colours together.
One way to partition the number 4, using 4 cubes.
And a different way to partition the number 4, using a paper door and four buttons.
The boys and girls also demonstrated their estimating and counting skills by asking their families how many pennies it would take to make the aluminum foil boats sink (couler).  Thanks to all of the kindergarten families who came out on Thursday evening and Friday morning.  All of the boys and girls did an amazing job and I am sure that you are very proud of all their accomplishments!!!
